Rejection is Redirection

Over years of entertaining countless hobbies and interests, rejection is something I've become very familiar with. The feeling of rejection is prominent and sticks with you, always creeping up in the back of your mind. From someone who's speaking from experience, I had to teach myself two things: Rejection is redirection, and you can't lose something you never had. These are two of the most important life lessons I've learned because when people are given an opportunity, they often become possessive and attached to the idea of losing it when, in reality, it was never theirs to begin with.
What is meant for you will come to you, and there is no time stamp for when it will happen. When rejection occurs, you handle it one of two ways. Dwell on it, causing you even more setbacks and obstacles to deal with, or pick yourself up, learn from an experience and improve yourself. Rejection does not mean you've failed; it's simply life throwing you onto a different course with a better plan. There comes a time when you need to ask yourself: Would you rather deal with rejection or regret?
Stay Tuned,
Big Sis
